Tracey Chang

On November 30th, 2008 Tracey Chang was Crowned Miss New York USA 2009. As the first Chinese and first woman who was born outside of the United States to hold the title of Miss New York USA, Tracey represents all that is possible for young women of any and all ethnicity and background.

Born in China and raised in New York City, Tracey Chang is living the American Dream. On a full, merit-based $120,000 scholarship, Tracey attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. In 2006 she graduated with honors, having earned her bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance.

Currently Tracey is attending Columbia University Graduate School of Business to pursue her MBA degree. Tracey hopes to become a financial news anchor, and aspires to host her own TV Show.

In addition to her academic achievements, Tracey has other accomplishments and passions. Most notable is her dedication to children’s health and education. While attending college, Tracey was an advocate for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), benefiting abused and neglected children. Since 2006, she has been a Partner in Hope for St, Jude’s Children Research Hospital. In 2005 Tracey founded her own charitable foundation. The “Loving Heart” Foundation is based in Tracey’s beloved homeland, China. “Loving Heart” helps under- privileged high school students earn their High School Diploma and pursue higher education. It’s Tracey’s dream to grow this foundation internationally, to help more students across the globe. In her spare time, Tracey is an avid poker player. She hopes to one day compete in The World Series of Poker’s Final Table.
